Meet Our Hygienists
Allison Cuevas – Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Allison is passionate about dentistry, public health, and communications. She graduated from USC School of Dentistry with a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene with honors in 2012. Having grown up in a home with parents in the medical field, Allison became fascinated with preventative medicine. She knew from a young age that working with people in health was her calling. Allison is a graduate from the USC Keck School of Medicine 2014, where she received her Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with an emphasis in Communications. She has worked with LAUSD developing dental health educational materials and worked with Big Smiles and LA Trust creating dental events within the Los Angeles School District.
She’s a born and raised California girl, so when she’s not working, she can be found on the beach soaking up some sun, going to concerts, snowboarding in the local mountains, and spending time with her beloved rescue Chihuahua, Honey Boo Boo.
"The best gift I can give any patient is educating them on their own oral health. I want each patient to know how to better their own health outcomes, both intraorally and systemically. I love to help patients and work as a team to get them healthy for life!"
Priyam Shah - Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
As a child, Priyam spent countless hours in a dental office. Somewhere in between getting her cavities fixed and aligning her teeth, she fell in love with her dentist and the dental field. She strives to provide her patients the same comfort and care her dentist had given her.
In 2011, Priyam graduated with honors from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry with an AA in Dental Hygiene. She received the Colgate STAR award for being the best clinician of her class. Before that, she received her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Priyam is known for her gentle treatment and friendly attitude. Patients love seeing Priyam regularly for their preventative dental treatment.
Other than dentistry, Priyam is very passionate about dancing, movies, food and her family and friends. She also loves traveling to different countries and tries to take at least one international trip a year with her husband and/or friends.
"I firmly believe that what we do for patients at the dental office cannot be substituted for what patients don't do at home. So I consider it my first and foremost duty to educate my patients about how they can keep up with their oral hygiene when they're not in my dental chair".
Katie Hill - Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Katie is a Registered Dental Hygienist who just moved to Los Angeles. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Cincinnati Dental Hygiene Program and worked in Florida for a few years after. Katie spent most of her teenage years wearing braces to align her teeth so when she completed her treatment and saw how much her smile had improved, she knew she wanted to get into the dental field. She loves helping her patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile. Her gentle but upbeat demeanor is a hit with all her patients.
When Katie is not working you can find her hiking with her two Great Danes, Zeppelin and Layla. She also loves working out and trying new restaurants in LA.
"I treat all the patients in my chair the way I would treat my friends and family. I never recommend something that I would not do myself"
Kativa Strickland - Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), BS
Kativa (Kat) is a registered dental hygienist (RDH) who graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in May 2015 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She is originally from Laguna Beach, CA, and now enjoys living in Downtown Los Angeles. After studying human biology and business administration at USC prior to completing the dental hygiene program, Kat has become an avid USC Trojan fan. You can see her at all of the home football games! She loves running, eating at new places in LA, and traveling.
"I am a firm believer in preventive dentistry, so I will provide anything I can to help my patients keep their health. Not only is daily brushing and flossing important for oral health, but it has so many systemic links to the health of the whole body. I aim to treat my patients with the utmost respect and aid them in maintaining healthy, beautiful smiles."
